Coach Miller

40 years athletic experience
With 25 years of coaching experience across multiple sports, I have developed a diverse and comprehensive understanding of athletic excellence. My journey has allowed me to take the reins as a Head Football Coach and Athletic Director for 8 years, where strategic leadership and team dynamics have been my focus. In addition, I spent 5 years as an Offensive Coordinator, and another 10 years honing my expertise in Wide Receiver and Quarterback play—transforming raw talent into peak performance on the field. Whether on the gridiron, diamond, track, or mat, my commitment to cultivating athletes’ skills and competitive spirit is unwavering.
As an athlete with 17 years of playing experience under my belt, my journey was transformational in my approach to athletic development. In my days as a dual-sport athlete at Marcus High School, I built a solid foundation for my future with All-State selections in both football and baseball, as well as being recognized as the state’s receiving leader in 1995. Upon earning a full athletic scholarship to Vanderbilt University, I trained as a wide receiver from 1996 to 2000 in the Division I/FBS arena, battling against the best in the S.E.C. to elevate my skills. This path not only sharpened my skills but has also instilled a relentless drive for excellence and a deep understanding of the teamwork and dedication required in competitive sports.
